2. The data we collect and why
Visitors to this website
Our hosting and analytics tools collect standard technical data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring site. We use this to keep the site secure and understand how it is used. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
People who contact us or book a call
If you email us, submit a form or book a call, we collect the details you provide: typically your name, company, email address and phone number, plus anything you tell us about your business. We use this to respond, to prepare for and follow up on conversations, and to send you relevant information about our services. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract. You can ask us to stop sending you marketing at any time, by replying to any message or emailing contact@steadybookedmarketing.com, and we will stop.
Clients and their staff
When a business becomes a client, we collect contact and business details needed to deliver our services, issue invoices and manage the relationship. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligation for accounting records.
Consumers who enquire through our consumer websites and advertising
We generate enquiries for client businesses through consumer information websites and advertising that we own, run and fund. If you submit an enquiry through one of those websites or adverts, Search Centric Ltd is the controller of your details (typically your name, phone number, an optional email address, your postcode area and the service you are interested in). Your enquiry is passed to one client business only, the local installer for your area, so that they can contact you about it. From the moment it is delivered, that business is a separate, independent controller of the details it receives. Our agreement with each client limits their use of your details to responding to your enquiry and any work you then ask them to do; they may not use your details for marketing without your own separate consent, and they may never sell or pass them to anyone else. We do not sell enquiries, add you to marketing lists, or share your details with anyone other than that single business and the service providers listed below. The consumer website where you enquired carries its own privacy notice with the full detail, including how long we keep enquiry data.
3. Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers to run our business. They process data only on our instructions:

Some providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by UK-approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations. We may also disclose data where required by law.
4. Calls and recording
Calls made or received through our phone system may be recorded for quality, training and record-keeping. Where calls are recorded, callers are informed at the start of the call.
5. Cookies
This site uses essential cookies needed for it to function. It also uses advertising cookies, namely the Meta Pixel and the Google Ads tag, to measure how our own advertising performs and to improve this site. We do not sell or share this data with anyone else, and we do not use it to build profiles beyond measuring our own advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and most browsers let you refuse them altogether.
6. How long we keep data
- Enquiries that do not become clients: up to 24 months from last contact.
- Client records: for the duration of the engagement plus 6 years, as required for tax and accounting.
- Consumer enquiry data: up to 24 months from the enquiry, then deleted, as set out in the consumer website's own privacy notice.
- Call recordings: up to 12 months unless needed longer for a dispute.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected or incomplete data completed
- Have your data deleted where there is no good reason for us to keep it
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing of your data
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@steadybookedmarketing.com. We respond within one month. If you enquired through one of our consumer websites, we will action your request on our own records and pass it to the business your enquiry was delivered to within 5 working days, and help them fulfil it.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the date above.
